Standard Warranty: 1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY
Sterling Computer Sales manufactures its portable computers from parts and components that are new or equivalent to new in accordance with industry-standard practices. Sterling warrants that the hardware products it manufactures will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty term is one year beginning on the date of invoice.
Damage due to shipping the products to you is covered under this warranty. Otherwise, this warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by Sterling, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, and problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by Sterling.
This warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: software; sound cards; speakers; external devices; accessories or parts added to a Sterling system after the system is shipped from Stering; accessories or parts added to a Stering system through Stering's system integration department; accessories or parts that are not installed in the Stering factory.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). STERLING''S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE AND NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER SUCH PERIOD. SOME STATES (OR JURISDICTIONS) DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

When you purchase a portable computer from Sterling, we will try our best to support and service the machine well after the sale. If the unit has to be returned, the following shall apply:
1. Non-defective Hardware is subject to a 22% restocking fee.
2. On custom orders in excess of 5 units a restocking fee shall be calculated based on the actual loss sustained in material and labor costs.
3. No refunds on software or supplies.
4. Returns must be in original packaging with all manuals, drivers, hardware, etc.
5. No returns accepted after 15 days of receipt of shipment.
6. No cash refunds will be given. Company Credit Only.
Sterling will repair or replace the same lunchbox computer returned to Sterling's facility. To request warranty service, you must call Sterling within the warranty period. If warranty service is required, Sterling will issue a Return Material Authorization Number, (RMA). You must ship the lunchbox computers back to Sterling in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. Sterling will ship the repaired or replacement products to you freight prepaid if you use an address in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions). Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect.
Sterling owns all parts removed from repaired portable computers. Sterling uses new and reconditioned parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and building replacement products. If Sterling repairs or replaces a portable computer, its warranty term is not extended.
Allow 4 weeks for processing of refund.

Sterling or its suppliers will not be liable for direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from any defect in any software, even if Sterling has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Sterling does not guarantee any software as to its functionality or licensing. Sterling will install all necessary drivers during its testing phase for all portable computers prior to delivery.
