The portable computers weigh more than notebooks ranging from 19 - 35 lbs.

What material is used for the case?

ABS plastic - the same material used in football helmets.   Our Zeus Series of Industrial lunchbox portable computers are all metal and all aluminum for rugged environments.

Does the portable computer use batteries?

No. 

An external battery can be special ordered.  The portable computer has a switching power supply of 115/230.  The portable computer also offers DC power supplies.

Can the portable computer be upgraded?

Yes!

This ability to upgrade makes the portable computer more desirable than notebooks. Sterling can upgrade RAM, mainboard and CPU components easily.
